Based on the popular film franchise, Alien, and using a version of Free League’s acclaimed Year Zero Engine. The games uses a pool of D6s that change based on the skill and attribute you are rolling for. Ever 6 rolled counts as a success, the harder an objective the more 6s will be required. As the characters go through the game they can accumulate stress during sustain situations. This is represented by adding extra d6s equal to your stress to every roll you make (stress dice). The more stress you have the higher chance you succeed. But be careful, rolling a 1 on any stress die (aka rolling a “Face Hugger”) means you could epic fail, panic, or worst of all I (GM) can introduce new threats.
The PCs will be space truckers carrying Helium-3 from Anchorpoint Station to The Frontier, when they wake from cryosleep to find themselves only half way to their destination. Mu/th/ur has awoken them early in order to investigate a strange S.O.S. signal. Per their contract with Wayland-Yutani, the PCs must investigate or forfeit all shares from this cargo run. This may sound very familiar if you have seen the fist Alien film, However the game goes in a different direction from the movie when the PCs reach their new destination. This Scenario is split into 3 acts, during each the PCs will be given a Secret Objective that they are to try and complete during every act, while keeping it hidden from the other PCs.
