AVL Scarefest is under a week away!

The Minions are scurrying, Hilda is freaking out about shades of red, and the Yeti is a nervous wreck.  Scarefest is almost upon us!  And therefore, there are certain things you need to know... We know it's terribly difficult to read an entire newsletter, but do try to stick it out.  We promise it'll be worth it.  Also, remember that gaming is more fun with more friends!  Please encourage others to attend, and list you as their referrer when they buy their ticket (it gets you a chance to win some awesome cursed dice).

How to get where you're going.

The address for the conference center is:

401 Assembly Drive

Montreat, NC 28757

And here's a map, in case you like doing things the old fashioned way.

Once you arrive on campus, you'll want to park in the parking lot between Community Center Circle and Lookout Road.  Then walk over to Freeland Hall (#15 on the map) to pick up your registration packet.  If you have reserved a room at either Assembly Inn or the Winsborough Lodge, your keys will be with your registration packet, as will meal tickets.  If you bought a t-shirt, it will be there as well.  Registration will be open starting at noon on Friday.  Folks with day passes, don't worry...registration will be just inside the door at Freeland all weekend.

Along with keys and t-shirts and stuff, your registration packet will contain your badge (which will also list your schedule), a printed map of campus so you don't get lost, and information on all the weird new stuff we're introducing this year, like the token system (don't forget to come in costume...it gets you an extra token every day you do it), the Bad Die Trade-in, the Character Graveyard, and more.

Last call for meal tickets

We know we keep harping about this...but less than half of you have bought meal tickets, and we want to make sure you're completely happy with your Scarefest experience.  Please note that the gaming slots are tight for getting out for food and back (particularly the lunch slot, which is only half an hour).  You are more than welcome to bring your own food, including running out for takeout, etc.  But if you don't want to bring your own, and you don't want to be late for game slots, we strongly suggest the meal ticket.  We have to turn in final numbers to the conference center on Tuesday morning, so you have until Monday night if you want to buy one.  You can get yours here.

We're super, super excited.

Seriously, we can't wait to see all you guys.

Except the Yeti.  He's literally shaking so hard the place looks like it's covered in a fur carpet.  We'd include a picture, but the Yeti always comes out blurry, for some reason.
