So, you’ve bought your ticket for this year’s AVL Scarefest, and you’re wondering “what now?” Well..here’s what you need to know.
First! Register for game signups on Warhorn…
- Go here and make an account: https://warhorn.net/events/avl-scarefest-10
- Once you have an account, you STILL have to register for the event. To do this, go to the event page on Warhorn, click Register, like so…
- But wait! YOU’RE NOT DONE! That’s right…once you click Register, Warhorn will take you to a second screen, where you have some options like connecting your Discord handle to your registration (it does make our lives easier, but it’s not required), and then…you have to CLICK REGISTER AGAIN. Like so:
- OK! Good job. Now you can sign up for games once signups open. When will that be, you ask?? That will be on September 18th if you’re a GM, Minionette, or Patron, and September 19th for everyone else. You’ll get an email when they open, so don’t worry!
Other Stuff To Know…

- When you get to the Lake Junaluska Conference center, if you have ordered lodging on site and/or meal tickets, you will pick them up at the Bethesda Welcome Center right by the entrance. (see map)
- Your event pass and anything else you ordered in advance can be picked up at the main gaming venue: Shackford Hall. (see map)
- Parking is freely available all over the conference center campus.
