ONLY 6 WEEKS!

Yes, we are also very perplexed that the passage of time. And yet...here we are. AVL Scarefest's 10th Anniversary will be happening in just over six weeks! We, the Minions, intend to--as they say--go all out. Please come and join us.

PSSST...The schedule is mostly up on Warhorn now, if you'd like a sneak peek at all we will have on offer. Some changes are still in the works, but you can get a pretty good idea before signups open on September 11/12 by going here. *Please note that while we have a long last slot on Sunday, not all games will run until the end of the convention.

Neat New Things!

We have posters and 10th Anniversary Commemorative Pint glasses available for preorder in our store. Also t-shirts. And don't forget your Hungry Cards so you won't wind up eating your fingers or dice or something.

Black logo. Red bottom. Yeah, we are also rather enamored with them.

Be a good little scout and plan ahead so we don't have to pick up random body parts later. Thank you.

A conversation starter. A fashion statement. A way to not get arrested for public indecency.

Volunteers still needed!

We still have some space available for Storytellers, if you have a game you'd like to offer. Our players are the best!

Or if running games isn't your thing but you'd still like to contribute, we have Minionette slots still open. What's Minionetting you ask? You get to sit at the Info Desk and sell snacks and answer questions (don't worry, we have a cheat sheet). And you get to wear a super cool capelet!

Running a game or Minionetting for a slot gets you 1/3 off a weekend pass, so running 3 games or volunteering for 3 slots gets you in for free! Plus our eternal gratitude. AVL Scarefest wouldn't exist if it weren't for the generous contributions of people just like you.

Also, it's not too late to snag a vendor table, display space in Artists Alley, or just donate a cool thing for the prize raffle and get an ad in our program!

Baby Miniature Dire Goat

Minion Corner: Are the Miniature Baby Dire Goats in Danger?

Well, we thought we had solved the matter of where Auntie Sylvie is going to stay when we came home from a long day of filing paperwork and found that the Yeti had set up what seems to be a giant dog bed in the sub-basement of the compound (in between the living quarters and the sub-sub-basement where the Mountainmouth probably still lives). We rarely go to the sub-basement (mostly because you can sometimes still hear the Mountainmouth from there and it's creepy and also because all the snacks are in the compound not in the sub-basement so there's not much reason to go there unless it's Ritual Day and Ritual Day only happens once a week when we ensure the continued good health and prosperity of all our sponsors...speaking of which if you want to donate a prize or have a vendor table please get in touch with us ASAP!!) but the sound of something being dragged slowly across the floor is rarely a safe thing to ignore around here, and so we went down to check it out. And it turned out the Yeti had decided to alleviate our distress by taking matters into his own hands. Paws? Hands. Delightful.

That is, until we realized that the Baby Miniature Dire Goats have actually set up their den in the sub-sub-basement. Why? We have no idea. Perhaps the Mountainmouth sings them to sleep. How did we not notice this before? Well, we would like to remind you that we've been incredibly stressed out trying to prepare for both a Vampire Queen and a Werewolf...Grumpy Aunt to come and stay for the entirety of Scarefest. We're been a little preoccupied.

But now we know. And we're mildly concerned about whether this is safe for the Baby Miniature Dire Goats. Or any of us, frankly.
